7 Questions to make 2025 your best year yet.

Read time: 3 minutes

Happy New Year! I hope you’re having a peaceful start to 2025.

The newsletter has been on a hiatus, but it’s back. Thank you for still being here, and welcome to issue 1 of the new and improved Growth Tactics!

“Without reflection, we go blindly on our way.” ~ Margaret J. Wheatley

I saw this quote last week, and agreed with it; it’s so easy to amble blindly from one year to the next, without taking the time to reflect on the year's experiences, good and bad, and using them to guide our next moves.

The truth is, reflection is critical to growth and success.

Last week, on LinkedIn, I shared 7 Powerful Questions to Supercharge your 2025, helping readers to review the past year, and unlock inspiration for the year ahead.

We're now 5 days into the new year, the holiday spirit is over, so I thought I'd share the questions here, including my answers. Take a moment to ask yourself these questions, reflect on the past year and think about what we can bring into 2025.

1. Where did you show resilience in 2024?

For me, my health tech business Bloomful pivoted many times in the early part of 2024. We started as a service-based business, then became tech-based but it took months to figure out where we sat in the market.

Navigating those changes was pretty exhausting and required a huge amount of resilience to keep digging, keep talking to customers, and keep pushing forward.

How would you answer this question?

2. Who or what supported your growth last year?

Last year, I learnt the true power of network. I was intentional about building, growing and nurturing my network both on- and off-line, through courses, communities, and in-person events. By posting content and being more visible I 10x'd the size of my network and audience from 4000 to over 40,000.

As a direct result of this I managed to:

  • Gain new investors for my business
  • Build new revenue streams and start a second business
  • Grow my group of champions, supporters and friends

I learnt that investing in meaningful relationships really does fuel success.

What's your answer to this question?

3. What fears held you back last year?

This was an easy one to answer: in early 2024 I was afraid to post on LinkedIn due to embarrassment, overwhelm, and the cringe factor. Getting over that fear has been the best decision I ever made. Building a personal brand and audience has been life-changing in so many ways.

  • I've diversified my income
  • It's created visibility, opportunities and leads for my business
  • I've built resilience, consistency and grown personally
  • I even ended up on a billboard campaign in Central London!

It’s the best investment I made both personally and professionally—all because I overcame the fear. I now help others do the same: find their unique voice, create content that resonates, and build their brand—hit reply if you’re interested in finding out how I can help!

4. Where did you excel & create impact?

The single most impactful skill I learnt in 2024 was writing; writing online, writing a newsletter, writing engaging copy, writing grant applications, and more. I did a LOT of writing. I never realised the level of opportunity writing content can unlock, especially as an entrepreneur.

Building a daily writing habit has had incredible impact on myself and business. I'll be leaning into this further in 2025, and would encourage you to do the same!

How would you answer this question?

5. What brought you the most joy this year?

Being a founder has given me the freedom to own my own schedule, work on my own terms, and spend more time for my family—and that brought me a lot of joy in 2024.

As well as that, being involved in some amazing campaigns, building a brand, starting a newsletter and winning grants for my business were big highlights.

The most joyous things from 2024 that I’ll be doing more of this year:

  • Travelling and experiencing new places
  • Growing my healthtech business Bloomful
  • Growing my second business, helping founders become more visible
  • Doing more public speaking
  • Continuing to back myself and my abilities

What would be your answer to this one?

6. What will you do differently in 2025?

In 2025, I plan to invest in myself, and my learning, even more.

Last year I learnt that the best entrepreneurs and the smartest people speculate to accumulate. They don’t get consumed by the $5000 they’re spending on a course to gain a skill or knowledge. Instead they consider the $100,000+ they will earn next year from acquiring that skill.

In 2025 I will spend less time trying to "figure things out" myself, and more time (and money) investing in myself and my skills. Learning from those who have the knowledge I need and are already a few steps ahead is much more efficient (and more fun, too).

How would you answer this one?

7. What vision will guide you into 2025?

I saw a post by Maya Raichoora, the UK’s leading mental fitness expert, where she talked about having a word to define the year. The idea is that the word will inspire, guide and bring clarity and focus throughout the year.

I love this idea; this year, mine word (or phrase) is "peace & joy"

For me that will mean focussing on more things that bring me these two things both personally and professionally.

From a business perspective I have 2 goals:

  • To continue to positively impact women's health through Bloomful
  • To help more founders & entrepreneurs increase their visibility, create engaging content, and drive leverage for their businesses.

What's your anwer to this one?

And a bonus question from me:

What are you looking to learn more of in 2025? (Hit reply and respond with the letter a-e!):

a) How to start building a personal brand

b) How to outsource LinkedIn

c) How to monetise an audience

d) How to begin or grow a startup

e) Something else (let me know what!)

Thank you again for being here, I am ready to make 2025 the best year, and if I can help you on your journey, through LinkedIn strategy, coaching, or Ready-to-Post content even better! Please do reach out, any time.

Wishing you all the best that 2025 has to offer, and more.

How to stand out naturally, without being performative Read time: 7 minutes A couple of months ago, I attended a leadership workshop.
